Through prayer, relationship-building and sharing of resources, the Wheaton Franciscans collaborate with organizations whose mission and priorities are similar to ours. We focus primarily on the following areas: care of creation; health and dental in underserved areas; refugees and immigrants; women and children in vulnerable situations; and other purposes that align with our values. We are currently connected to nearly 100 organizations.

Combating Human Trafficking in Uganda Project
Kampala, Uganda
Since 2020, the John Paul II Justice & Peace Centre, in partnership with the Uganda Episcopal Conference (Uganda Catholic Secretariat), has implemented the Combating Human Trafficking in Uganda project. The initiative seeks to prevent human trafficking and modern slavery by raising public awareness, strengthening the Catholic Church’s coordinated response, advocating for improved legislation, and supporting survivors in accessing justice and essential services. Through education, advocacy, and collaboration, the project works to combat human trafficking and protect vulnerable populations throughout Uganda. Read the National Prayer on Human Trafficking
