Bubbling With Joy

by Carol Sejda, Covenant Companion

When I am worn out from physical tasks or mental turmoil, I am so grateful for the opportunity and blessing to, at times, literally crawl or stumble into my bathroom. There I can escape for twenty minutes or longer into my tub. Immersing myself into warm water can restore me.

As I ease myself into the bath, I am embraced by scented, foamy bubbles that soothe my joints and let my troubles float away. I find myself repeating: “Thank you, thank you, God.”

This solitary, peace-filled time is such a joyful gift for me!

While luxuriously soaking, I frequently think of that part of the 23rd Psalm that states, “Beside restful waters you lead me.”

I leave refreshed, relaxed, and grateful.

I loved this Carol. Thankyou. There so many ways our loving God touches us and refreshs us when we are weary and tired.
