In its Weekend Bulletin, December 13-14, FutureChurch featured the Wheaton Franciscans Invitational Church Circle as part of its Pentecost Project. The Pentecost Project explores and celebrates “emerging models of parish and community life, ministry, and governance that are moving the Catholic Church into the future.”
The Pentecost Project webpage states, “We will be highlighting communities that have been emboldened to live the Gospel in new and creative ways. From intentional living communities to independent worship spaces to organizations re-envisioning what it means to serve, these trailblazing communities serve as witnesses that the creative power of the Spirit never ceases.”
The feature article, The Wheaton Franciscans Create Invitational Community, was written by Covenant Companion Sharon Niemet. It celebrates the 12-year history of this ministry of the Wheaton Franciscans as it continues to transition to meet the changing needs of a growing community of faith, as well as the changing needs of the times. Well done, Sharon! You certainly captured the spirit of our faith community. God has blessed us with expansive souls who live out our Charism and certainly infuse the world with Love.
Thank you!
