Through prayer, relationship-building and sharing of resources, the Wheaton Franciscans collaborate with organizations whose mission and priorities are similar to ours. We focus primarily on the following areas: care of creation; health and dental in underserved areas; refugees and immigrants; women and children in vulnerable situations; and other purposes that align with our values. We are currently connected to nearly 100 organizations.

Illinois Community for Displaced Immigrants (ICDI)

Illinois Community for Displaced Immigrants (ICDI) is a faith-based nonprofit organization made up of staff and volunteers from more than 17 faith traditions. ICDI responds to the suffering of individuals and communities impacted by immigration detention, deportation, and post-detention. The organization provides essential goods, housing, and wraparound support to asylum seekers, while also advocating for immigrant justice at the local, state, and national levels.
