Through prayer, relationship-building and sharing of resources, the Wheaton Franciscans collaborate with organizations whose mission and priorities are similar to ours. We focus primarily on the following areas: care of creation; health and dental in underserved areas; refugees and immigrants; women and children in vulnerable situations; and other purposes that align with our values. We are currently connected to nearly 100 organizations.

Thrive Counseling Center
Oak Park, IL
Thrive Counseling Center provides mental health services in the Oak Park/River Forest area to men, women, and children at risk due to stress, suicidal thoughts, mental illness, trauma, or another crisis. Their mission is to build healthy minds, families, and communities by empowering people to attain mental and emotional well-being. Thrive has been a critical resource for mental healthcare in Cook County for over 120 years, serving over 1,300 people per year from ages 6 to 85. Over 75% of their clients are Medicaid-insured or uninsured. The agency also serves hundreds of teenagers each year through its in-school suicide prevention awareness training program.
