Through prayer, relationship-building and sharing of resources, the Wheaton Franciscans collaborate with organizations whose mission and priorities are similar to ours. We focus primarily on the following areas: care of creation; health and dental in underserved areas; refugees and immigrants; women and children in vulnerable situations; and other purposes that align with our values. We are currently connected to nearly 100 organizations.

Casa Esperanza Project

Casa Esperanza Project has been serving women and children experiencing homelessness for the last 30 years. Their efforts have resulted in serving more than 500 women and children during this time. The organization facilitates mental health services to both youth and adults and helps them process the trauma that they’ve experienced as a result of violence, homelessness, grief and loss, and other factors. Casa Esperanza Project has assisted numerous women engage in educational programming leading to varying certifications and housing stability, including home ownership.
