Through prayer, relationship-building and sharing of resources, the Wheaton Franciscans collaborate with organizations whose mission and priorities are similar to ours. We focus primarily on the following areas: care of creation; health and dental in underserved areas; refugees and immigrants; women and children in vulnerable situations; and other purposes that align with our values. We are currently connected to nearly 100 organizations.

Marklund Children’s Home
Geneva, IL
Marklund provides the best possible care for children and adults with severe and profound disabilities and addresses their unique medical and therapeutic needs. With three locations in Bloomingdale, Elgin and Geneva,
Marklund serves over 250 individuals each year throughout Cook, DuPage and Kane counties. Some of the Marklund’s clients were born with genetic disorders such as Cerebral Palsy or Rett Syndrome; others were victims of tragic accidents or even child abuse. At Marklund, these individuals receive active treatment and learn to maintain (and sometimes develop) skills to help them lead full and happy lives.

For it is in giving that we receive.
