The growing antiwar movement within the American Jewish community

In its coverage of many of the nationwide college campus protests against the war in Gaza, the mainstream media often highlights those few protesters who use this situation to fan the flames of antisemitism. However, what we don’t hear about is the growing antiwar movement within the American Jewish community itself.

The MSN article “Not like other Passovers’: hundreds of Jewish demonstrators arrested after New York protest seder” tells a little bit about this community’s call for an immediate cease-fire and an end to offensive military aid to the Israeli government.

What is needed is a sincere and strong demand by the US in support of a 2-state solution and resumption of talks to accomplish this, as well as a withdrawal of Israeli troupes from Gaza and the West Bank and an end to the expansion of Jewish settlements there.

Peace and blessings,

S Bea
