February 2024 Collaborator: Women and Children

Through prayer, relationship-building and sharing of resources, the Wheaton Franciscans collaborate with organizations whose mission and priorities are similar to ours. We focus primarily on the following areas: care of creation; health and dental in underserved areas; refugees and immigrants; women and children in vulnerable situations; and other purposes that align with our values. We are currently connected to nearly 100 organizations.

Pathfinders Milwaukee Inc.

Milwaukee, WI

Each year, approximately 15,000 youth under the age of 26 experience homelessness in Milwaukee. Pathfinders is one of the few organizations in Milwaukee providing specialized housing and wraparound supportive services for youth and young adults who are experiencing homelessness. Through effective engagement and strong relationship building, Pathfinders’ Supported Housing program works alongside young adults (and their young children, if relevant) to support their journeys towards independent living. They make connections to internal and external supportive resources that match their personal goals for long-term thriving. All services are designed to enable youth to reach long-term stability in housing, income, social support systems, and well-being.

For it is in giving that we receive.
