Journey Together: Lent 2024

An Invitation To Live Lent As Love

We invite you to join us on a synodal journey to Live Lent as Love. During Lent, we are encouraged to reflect on our choices and to return to God with our whole being. It’s a time to pause, pray, and examine our thoughts, words, actions, and inactions. Grounding ourselves in Gospel values, we reflect on cultivating an open heart and mind, engaging in generative listening, embracing silence, and respecting the perspectives of others.

Wisdom words and a short prayer will be posted each week for your reflection.

Living Lent as Love also means opening ourselves up to the needs of those around us. This year, we are supporting local and international organizations that address the issue of food insecurity. In addition, we are continuing to learn about efforts to protect Mother Earth through recycling. And finally, we are hosting a BE Love volunteer day for those who are able to participate.

Join us on our journey to Live Lent as Love!

More Resources from Tau Center

The season of Lent invites us to pause, reflect, and return to God with our entire being. We are encouraged to examine our choices, thoughts, words, actions, and inactions as they impact the world around us.
We encourage you to use the Tau Center’s Lent 2024 eJournal or download the PDF Lent Journal during this synodal Lenten Journey.

Lenten Donation Drive

We invite you to join us in our Lenten Donation Drive as we raise funds and awareness of the ongoing issue of food insecurity locally and internationally. Monetary donations will go locally to Northern Illinois Food Bank and internationally to Feed My Starving Children. Donations may be made online (for the Northern Illinois Food Bank) or by check or cash.

A Wheaton Franciscan dedicated web page has been created to support online donations to the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

A donation box will be available at the back of the Chapel on Sundays during Lent, or mail your check to:
