Through prayer, relationship-building and sharing of resources, the Wheaton Franciscans collaborate with organizations whose mission and priorities are similar to ours. We focus primarily on the following areas: care of creation; health and dental in underserved areas; refugees and immigrants; women and children in vulnerable situations; and other purposes that align with our values. We are currently connected to nearly 100 organizations.

World Relief
Chicagoland, IL
World Relief Chicagoland (WRC) serves refugees, asylees, undocumented victims of violent crimes, and immigrants of all kinds. Their Immigrant Family Services (IFS) program provides vital services to refugees and immigrants in the western suburbs of Chicago through offices in Aurora (Kane County) and Carol Stream (DuPage County). Low-income immigrant and refugee families are in a vulnerable situation, with many facing barriers like limited English language proficiency and lack of access to transportation, social support networks, affordable housing, and other essentials. These challenges make it difficult for them to access community resources and navigate the U.S. educational, healthcare, and financial systems. WRC engages Chicagoland’s community, churches and faith groups, and other local partners to help address these barriers through relational support that supplements holistic services provided through WRC’s Immigrant Family Services (IFS) program.
