Through prayer, relationship-building and sharing of resources, the Wheaton Franciscans collaborate with organizations whose mission and priorities are similar to ours. We focus primarily on the following areas: care of creation; health and dental in underserved areas; refugees and immigrants; women and children in vulnerable situations; and other purposes that align with our values. We are currently connected to nearly 100 organizations.

Water Literacy Program
The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois
(University of Illinois Extension)
Sycamore, IL
The University of Illinois was established to provide world-class education and to put learning and discovery into practice, to benefit the wellbeing of the communities in every part of Illinois. Extension is the university’s statewide network of educators, faculty experts, and staff dedicated to that mission. The University of Illinois Extension manages a water literacy program that targets K-12 students. As part of the program, they also conduct a one-week water education summer camp and provide elementary school field trips to the Natural Resource Education Center located at Russell Woods Forest Preserve in DeKalb County.
