Celebrating 60 Faithful Years: Sister Rosemarie Stewart’s Jubilee

For 60 years, Sister Rosemarie has lived her Franciscan calling with humility, quiet generosity, and faithful service. Drawn to the Franciscan way of life by its spirit of freedom and its commitment to meeting the needs of the times, she has carried out her ministry with steady dedication and care for others.
After earning her degree from the State University of New York, Sister Rosemarie devoted many years to administrative and accounting ministries, including two decades of service in Accounting before her retirement in 2025. Though much of her work took place behind the scenes, those who know her recognize the many ways she offers support through simple acts of kindness, reliability, and concern for others. Deeply devoted to her family and attentive to the people in her daily life, she reflects a Franciscan spirit of compassion and presence.
Now celebrating her 60th Jubilee, Sister Rosemarie continues to embody the gentle and grounded spirit of Franciscan life. Her affection for animals — especially the cats she has cared for over the years — reflects her deep respect for creation and the compassionate way she moves through the world.

Thank you, Rosie, for all the good advice and recommendations you have me over the years, especially regarding my own financial moves. I know you love cats but I also want to mention what a dog lover you are and how many dogs you have baby sat for, walked and lived at your time at OLA and how they lived you back!! So, so sweet!! And your ministry to our Justice system as a parole officer! You have been a blessing and a grace to many. Thank you for all your years of service and goodness! I look forward to celebrating your jubilee!
