Through prayer, relationship-building and sharing of resources, the Wheaton Franciscans collaborate with organizations whose mission and priorities are similar to ours. We focus primarily on the following areas: care of creation; health and dental in underserved areas; refugees and immigrants; women and children in vulnerable situations; and other purposes that align with our values. We are currently connected to nearly 100 organizations.

Marklund Children’s Home
Geneva, IL
Marklund Children’s Home is an agency that serves children and young adults with profound disabilities, addressing their unique medical and therapeutic needs. Some of Marklund’s clients were born with genetic disorders such as Cerebral Palsy or Rett Syndrome; others were victims of tragic accidents or even child abuse. While there are no cures for the disabilities Marklund’s clients have, the active treatment they receive at Marklund helps them maintain (and sometimes develop) skills to help them lead full and happy lives.

For it is in giving that we receive.
