Through prayer, relationship-building and sharing of resources, the Wheaton Franciscans collaborate with organizations whose mission and priorities are similar to ours. We focus primarily on the following areas: care of creation; health and dental in underserved areas; refugees and immigrants; women and children in vulnerable situations; and other purposes that align with our values. We are currently connected to nearly 100 organizations.

Sarah’s Inn

Sarah’s Inn was founded in 1980 by a small group of concerned citizens as a grassroots crisis hotline and referral agency. Nearly 41 years later, Sarah’s Inn is one of the largest domestic violence organizations in Chicago and 22 surrounding West Cook County suburban communities. Sarah’s Inn delivers support services to help families find safety, rebuild their lives, and heal. They also educate youth about cultivating healthy relationships to help break the cycle of violence for future generations. Their confidential services are provided free of charge and offered in English and Spanish.
