Through prayer, relationship-building and sharing of resources, the Wheaton Franciscans collaborate with organizations whose mission and priorities are similar to ours. We focus primarily on the following areas: care of creation; health and dental in underserved areas; refugees and immigrants; women and children in vulnerable situations; and other purposes that align with our values. We are currently connected to nearly 100 organizations.

Courage Initiative Ltd.
Milwaukee, WI
Courage MKE’s mission is to raise awareness of the rising number of LGBTQ+ youth in the social welfare system. Courage MKE manages the first home for displaced LGBTQ+ youth on Milwaukee’s south side and it has been named Courage House. Courage House is the only group home in the State of Wisconsin serving this distinct population. It provides a safe and friendly home for up to five teens at a time. At Courage House, the residents are assisted with counseling, healthcare, life skills, family reunification, and are provided the same experiences every child deserves in a family setting.
