Through prayer, relationship-building and sharing of resources, the Wheaton Franciscans collaborate with organizations whose mission and priorities are similar to ours. We focus primarily on the following areas: care of creation; health and dental in underserved areas; refugees and immigrants; women and children in vulnerable situations; and other purposes that align with our values. We are currently connected to nearly 100 organizations.

Unlocking Communities
Hinche, Haiti
Over half of Haiti’s citizens do not have access to clean water. Waterborne illness is one of the leading causes of death in Haiti, particularly among infants and children. Unlocking Communities is a U.S. non-profit organization that aims to provide sustainable, safe, clean drinking water for the people of northern and central Haiti as well as clean, efficient stoves for cooking. The agency also seeks to unlock the entrepreneurial skills of the Haitian people.
