Through prayer, relationship-building and sharing of resources, the Wheaton Franciscans collaborate with organizations whose mission and priorities are similar to ours. We focus primarily on the following areas: care of creation; health and dental in underserved areas; refugees and immigrants; women and children in vulnerable situations; and other purposes that align with our values. We are currently connected to nearly 100 organizations.

Pax Christi International
Nonviolence Initiative

Pax Christi International (PCI) is a faith-based global network promoting a comprehensive vision of peace which is rooted in the Gospel. The Catholic Nonviolence Initiative (CNI) is a global initiative of Pax Christi International which affirms the vision and practice of nonviolence is at the heart of the Catholic Church and Catholic Social Teaching. Since its beginning in 2016, the core beliefs of the CNI have been:
- Nonviolence is central to Catholic life and Catholic Social Teaching
- A Just Peace moral framework that prefers nonviolence is applied to contemporary contexts; and
- Church structures teach and promote nonviolence to educate and mobilize Catholics.
For it is in giving that we receive.
