Through prayer, relationship-building and sharing of resources, the Wheaton Franciscans collaborate with organizations whose mission and priorities are similar to ours. We focus primarily on the following areas: care of creation; health and dental in underserved areas; refugees and immigrants; women and children in vulnerable situations; and other purposes that align with our values. We are currently connected to nearly 100 organizations.

Laudato Si’ Ministries

Laudato Si’ Ministries is a ministry of the Diocese of Joliet which uses the lens of Catholic Social Teaching to approach agriculture, environmental, food sustainability, climate, and rural life issues. The program develops a comprehensive approach to environmental justice and the implementation of Laudato Si’, Pope Francis’ encyclical On Care for our Common Home, in their diocese, parishes, schools, and local communities. They do this through educational and pastoral support, policy and legislation, creating community, and sustainable food sources for the poor and vulnerable.
