February 2024 Collaborator: Care of Creation

Through prayer, relationship-building and sharing of resources, the Wheaton Franciscans collaborate with organizations whose mission and priorities are similar to ours. We focus primarily on the following areas: care of creation; health and dental in underserved areas; refugees and immigrants; women and children in vulnerable situations; and other purposes that align with our values. We are currently connected to nearly 100 organizations.

Women Connect Women

Cape Girardeau, MO

Women Connect Women is a non-profit organization that offers hope, healing, and growth to women in crisis situations through mentoring programs, participation in gardening, care for the earth, and retreats. Their goal is to serve a diverse cross section of women in Southeast Missouri. They engage women from the ages of 19-65+, who are facing a wide variety of everyday struggles such as entering college, seeking employment, marital problems, financial issues, empty nesting, career changes, and aging issues.

For it is in giving that we receive.
