We Joyfully Announce Our New Regional Leadership Team

[Wheaton, IL- September 25, 2023] – The St. Clare Region, commonly known as the Wheaton Franciscans, is delighted to introduce its newly called forth Regional Leadership Team

Sr. Mary Lou Wirtz: Regional Directress
Sr. Glenna Czachor: Regional Leadership Team Member
Sr. Toby Bonny: Regional Leadership Team Member

The Regional Leadership Team provides vision, support, and facilitative leadership for the U.S. region of the Franciscan Sisters, Daughters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, an International Congregation headquartered in Rome, Italy.  The incoming leadership team brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to the congregation’s charism and mission.

The team was officially announced on September 23, 2023, by Sr. Magdelena Schmitz, General Directress of the Congregation.

In addition to selecting a new leadership team, the Wheaton Franciscan Community affirmed a new Wisdom Statement to guide the community for the next three years.

WISDOM STATEMENT
2023 – 2026

With hearts and doors open to the Spirit and each other,
   we embrace our flourishing future.
We trust we will continue to grow in grace and gratitude and
   will be creative and courageous in all we are called to be and do.

The Wheaton Franciscan community expresses our heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing Regional Leadership Team, who have faithfully served the community from October 5, 2020, to October 8, 2023:

Sr. Rose Mary Pint: Outgoing Regional Leadership Team Member

Their dedicated leadership and unwavering commitment have played an integral role in the ongoing transformation of the community.

The new leadership team will be installed during liturgy on Sunday, October 8, at 10:30 a.m. at the Our Lady of Angels Chapel at the Wheaton Franciscan Motherhouse. The Wheaton Franciscans invite all friends, supporters, and well-wishers to celebrate this special occasion either in the Chapel or through Livestream.
