Through prayer, relationship-building and sharing of resources, the Wheaton Franciscans collaborate with organizations whose mission and priorities are similar to ours. We focus primarily on the following areas: care of creation; health and dental in underserved areas; refugees and immigrants; women and children in vulnerable situations; and other purposes that align with our values. We are currently connected to nearly 100 organizations.

Special Leisure Services Foundation (SLSF)
Northwestern Chicago Suburbs
Special Leisure Services Foundation (SLSF) exists to support children and adults with disabilities through philanthropy for the Northwest Special Recreation Association (NWSRA). NWSRA serves individuals with special needs in recreation programs throughout the northwest suburbs of Chicago. A variety of recreation and leisure programs are offered throughout the year including bowling, swimming lessons, crafts, cooking, team sports, music lessons, athletic team training, cultural arts, horseback riding, adult day programs, social clubs, trips and special events. During the summer months, NWSRA offers several day camp programs, utilizing school and park district facilities.
