Through prayer, relationship-building and sharing of resources, the Wheaton Franciscans collaborate with organizations whose mission and priorities are similar to ours. We focus primarily on the following areas: care of creation; health and dental in underserved areas; refugees and immigrants; women and children in vulnerable situations; and other purposes that align with our values. We are currently connected to nearly 100 organizations.

Almost Home Kids
Naperville, IL
Almost Home Kids is a transitional care home for children with medical complexities between the ages of newborn to age 21. The agency improves the lives of children with disabilities by training their families and empowering them. Most of the children and their families served at this agency live at or below the federal poverty line. Today AHK exists in Naperville (near Edward Hospital), in Chicago (near Lurie Children’s) and in Peoria (near OSF Children’s Hospital of Illinois). Annually they care for 240 children with medical complexities and 480 parents.
