July 2023 Collaborator: Women and Children

Through prayer, relationship-building and sharing of resources, the Wheaton Franciscans collaborate with organizations whose mission and priorities are similar to ours. We focus primarily on the following areas: care of creation; health and dental in underserved areas; refugees and immigrants; women and children in vulnerable situations; and other purposes that align with our values. We are currently connected to nearly 100 organizations.

College-Persistence (CP) Program

Chicago, IL

Chicago Jesuit Academy located on the west side of Chicago, is a tuition-free Catholic elementary school for students and families from resilient communities impacted by historical disinvestment. Chicago Jesuit Academy has built a robust College-Persistence (CP) Program that attentively guides each of their alumni as they navigate transitions to high school, post-secondary education and ultimately careers. Their College-Persistence Counselors offer trauma-informed care throughout these transitions and help their alumni persist along a meaningful path to realize their potential.

For it is in giving that we receive.
