Through prayer, relationship-building and sharing of resources, the Wheaton Franciscans collaborate with organizations whose mission and priorities are similar to ours. We focus primarily on the following areas: care of creation; health and dental in underserved areas; refugees and immigrants; women and children in vulnerable situations; and other purposes that align with our values. We are currently connected to nearly 100 organizations.

FCJM – Timor Leste Indonesia Mission
New Assisi Vila Verde Dili Kindergarten
Timor Leste
From 1997-2003, one of the international NGOs in Timor Leste collaborated with FCJM Sisters to provide nutrition for malnourished pre-school children. This led the surrounding community to call upon the Sisters to start the Assisi Kindergarten in 2003. This service has continued until now and the number of children is more than 250 per school year. As part of the kindergarten services, the Timor Leste Sisters and teachers assist parents in educating their children from an early age so that children are increasingly aware of the importance of education and morals.
