Through prayer, relationship-building and sharing of resources, the Wheaton Franciscans collaborate with organizations whose mission and priorities are similar to ours. We focus primarily on the following areas: care of creation; health and dental in underserved areas; refugees and immigrants; women and children in vulnerable situations; and other purposes that align with our values. We are currently connected to nearly 100 organizations.

Loaves & Fishes Community Services
Aurora, IL
Loaves & Fishes Community Services is an anti-poverty, hunger-relief organization with a mission to provide healthy food and impactful programs to promote self-sufficiency. They deliver high quality, healthy food to low-income families in the southern part of DuPage County. Their food assistance program provides weekly access to nutritious foods through a client-choice market, curbside pick-up, online ordering, and offsite deliveries. In addition to food assistance, Loaves & Fishes CARES programs prevent homelessness and lead families toward self-sufficiency. These programs include emergency financial assistance, car donations, resource meetings, public benefits assistance, tax return preparation, and job search assistance.
