February 2023 Collaborator: Women and Children

Through prayer, relationship-building and sharing of resources, the Wheaton Franciscans collaborate with organizations whose mission and priorities are similar to ours. We focus primarily on the following areas: care of creation; health and dental in underserved areas; refugees and immigrants; women and children in vulnerable situations; and other purposes that align with our values. We are currently connected to nearly 100 organizations.

Nativity Jesuit Academy

Milwaukee, WI

Nativity Jesuit Academy was founded in 1993 in response to a growing demand for quality, Catholic, high performing schools that would serve Latino families. 100% of Nativity students are Latino and 97% experience poverty. Despite the disadvantages that these students face, a Nativity education transforms challenges into results. It is making a measurable, lasting impact by preparing the city’s future leaders who will give back to their community and create a new cycle of opportunity. According to the Wisconsin Institute of Law and Liberty, Nativity Jesuit Academy has been ranked the #1 K-8 school in southeastern Wisconsin and the #3 K-8 school in the state.

For it is in giving that we receive.
