With abundant joy and deep gratitude, the Wheaton Franciscan Community is happy to announce the new Regional Community Leadership Team. On Saturday, September 12, 2020, the feast of the Holy Name of Mary, the St. Clare Regional Community called forth three sisters to be the leaders of the newly created Region. They are Sr. Melanie Paradis, Regional Directress; Sr. Glenna Czachor and Sr. Rose Mary Pint, Team Members. We are grateful to Srs. Melanie, Glenna, and Rose Mary for their willingness to serve and to share their gifts and their wisdom with the Region.

On August 11, 2020, the Feast of St. Clare of Assisi, the Community officially moved from being a juridical province to that of a region of the Congregation, the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. This change in governance structure provided the opportunity for the St. Clare Regional Community to continue to discern new leadership, amend statues, and to continue Dreaming, Daring, Deepening our role and presence in the heart of the world.
The Regional Community Leadership Team provides inspiration, support, and facilitative leadership focused on engaging all Wheaton Franciscans in fostering our life, mission, and charism through the ongoing evolution of the Community
As a Community we recognize that we are living in an evolving process of relating and organizing, and we understand that all roles are evolving. As we walk into this mystery together, we commit to being contemplative, compassionate, and patient, holding each other in love.
We are excited to welcome our new Regional Community Leadership Team and know that our generous and loving God will guide them in this ministry of leadership.

The new team will begin their three-year term of office at the transition liturgy which will be held on October 5th, the feast of M. Clara at 2:00 pm. The liturgy will be live-streamed.
We also express our gratitude to Sr. Melanie, Sr. Lynn Schafer, Sr. Trish Villarreal, and Sr. Alana Gorski for their service as the province and the interim regional leadership team.
