In light of several recent immigration enforcement encounters resulting in the loss of life, Bishop Garcia and Bishop Cahill issued the following pastoral reflection.

Following several recent immigration enforcement encounters resulting in the loss of life, Bishop Daniel Garcia, chairman of the USCCB’s Subcommittee for the Promotion of Racial Justice and Reconciliation, and Bishop Brendan Cahill, chairman of the USCCB’s Committee on Migration, issued a joint pastoral reflection. In that statement, they called for “accountability, transparency, and justice, which require that meaningful reforms be made to our immigration system.”
