Through prayer, relationship-building and sharing of resources, the Wheaton Franciscans collaborate with organizations whose mission and priorities are similar to ours. We focus primarily on the following areas: care of creation; health and dental in underserved areas; refugees and immigrants; women and children in vulnerable situations; and other purposes that align with our values. We are currently connected to nearly 100 organizations.

Lighthouse Foundation

The Lighthouse Foundation supports individuals transitioning back into the community after release from the Kane County Jail by providing intensive substance use treatment, case management, and other services that promote successful reentry. The organization addresses the limited availability of community-based support for individuals leaving incarceration, particularly those who lack the financial resources to access treatment. Its reentry program builds on the progress participants make while incarcerated, allowing eligible individuals to be released under close supervision while continuing intensive treatment and receiving ongoing support to reduce recidivism and foster long-term recovery.
