Pentecost 2025
We lifted our souls and opened our hearts to celebrate Pentecost on Sunday, June 8. The mass was vibrant, joyful, and alive with the Spirit!

Jubilee 2025
Our annual Jubilee took place on Saturday, June 21, as we prayerfully honored six Sisters and Covenant Companions for their religious life and covenant. Surrounded by loved ones, we celebrated their steadfast dedication to the Franciscan way of life and their living witness to the Gospel.

United In Love Day
On June 27, 2025 – the Feast of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary – Sisters and members of our Faith Community gathered on the sidewalk in front of the Wheaton Franciscan campus. With signs and peace flags, they offered a public witness of unity and love, standing in solidarity for a more just and compassionate world.

Novitiate Ceremony
August 11, 2025, was a special day for our community as Sister Paige began her novitiate. Surrounded by her Sisters, she embraced this new chapter with faith, reverence, and hope for the journey ahead.

LCWR Assembly 2025
From August 12–15, 2025, the Regional Leadership Team, Sister Bea Hernandez, and Jeanne Connolly, Director of Charism and Mission, attended the LCWR Assembly in Atlanta, Georgia. Titled Hope Unbroken: Journeying in God’s Promise, the gathering brought together over 800 participants to reflect on faith-filled practices that sustain hope amid today’s challenges. On August 14, a one-mile Pilgrimage of Hope through downtown Atlanta united participants in prayer and commitment to addressing racism, migration, and the climate crisis.

It is wonderful to be able to rekindle my connection with my Franciscan sisters. I worked for WFSI until 1989 when we retired to Mobile, but I remember and love my years with the Sisters. I am now 100 (!!) but remember all , especially SMEM, with love and blessings. Marcy
