Congratulations on 25 Years of Covenant Companionship

We celebrate Frank Bucaro and his 25 years of commitment as a Covenant Companion with the Wheaton Franciscans.
Frank and his wife Mary Ann reside in Williams Bay, WI, and have three children (Elizabeth, Margaret, and Adrian) and six grandkids.
Frank was born in Chicago to Lois and Frank Bucaro (both deceased) and enjoyed his childhood with his brother and sister. After earning a master’s degree in religious studies from Loyola University, he spent 16 years as a theology teacher in Catholic high schools and four years as a full-time director of religious education at Holy Trinity Parish in Westmont, IL.
In 1968, Frank began going to The Bridge (a ministry of the Wheaton Franciscans) to help the sisters with youth retreats and to assist in the coffeehouse. He recalls, “Those first days at The Bridge with Sr. Eunice, Sr. Theresa, Sr. Maggie, Sr. Frances, and Sr. Arthur really set the tone for my spiritual development, particularly how those sisters lived out their Franciscan charism.”
These early connections turned into a lifelong commitment for Frank.
“I have always felt part of the Wheaton Franciscan community, met my wife there, had our wedding reception at The Bridge, and over our 54 years of marriage kept in contact with the sisters and have brought my family to OLA many times for visits. I decided to finalize my commitment by becoming a Covenant Companion in 2000.”
Frank has been self-employed since 1986, offering speaking engagements and training in Values-based Leadership Development for corporate clients. He loves the great outdoors and enjoys golfing, fishing, boating, and especially his grandkids.
Congratulations and thank you, Frank, for your lifelong commitment and relationship with the Wheaton Franciscan community!
