Concerts at Our Lady of the Angels

In September and October, we were blessed to enjoy the uplifting music of Covenant Companion John Niemet during his concerts in the St. Clare Garden and Promenade. These special performances honored the Season of Creation and the beauty of autumn, offering a heartfelt expression of gratitude to God.

In October, the Wheaton Franciscan Choir & Musicians performed a free concert in OLA Chapel called “When In Our Music God is Glorified.” Their beautiful performance filled the Chapel with joy and reverence, reminding us of the power of music to uplift our spirits and connect with God.

Our Lady of the Angels Chapel Reopens

We were thrilled to welcome everyone back to our sacred chapel space on Sunday, September 22. Our hearts are filled with gratitude for the many people who guided and worked on the Chapel Refurbishment project – the final result was beautiful.

S’mores & More Gatherings

Every month through October, we invited people in our local community to gather for faith sharing and community building, enjoying the lovely St. Clare Garden and savoring campfire treats.

Wheaton Franciscans Host International Plenary Meetings

With joyful hearts, the United States Region (Wheaton Franciscans) of the Franciscan Sisters, Daughters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary (FCJM) hosted Leaders from six Areas of our international congregation for a Plenary Council meeting. The midterm meetings of the 6-year General Council provided a meaningful opportunity to deepen relationships, address shared challenges, appreciate the work of congregational teams, and plan for the future together. It was a blessing to host our international guests!

Associate Recognition Luncheon

In November, Sisters and OLA Associates came together to celebrate nine employees for their dedicated service to OLA, spanning from five to thirty years. We are deeply grateful for their commitment and the many ways they enrich our community.

Blessing of CCLC Members

During the Liturgy on Sunday, Nov. 10, a blessing was held for the new members of the Covenant Companion Leadership Circle (CCLA) and their transition into leadership. Learn more about the new CCLC members.
