Supervisor, Facilities

The Facilities Supervisor (Supervisor) reports to the Director of Facilities for the Corporation and has responsibility for the boiler and plant operations. The Supervisor assists with the daily supervision of the Day and PM Shift Maintenance Mechanics on the Sisters Campus, including services provided to Northwestern Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital, a partner on the Campus.

Works collaboratively with the Director and other department leaders, the Supervisor provides leadership that includes setting team goals/objectives, overseeing the daily maintenance work schedules of staff and ensuring that the weekly preventative maintenance items are completed. The Supervisor is available as needed for emergency calls and works with the various contractors and departments on work orders. The Supervisor will develop and/or revise procedures and training for all maintenance staff on plant and hospital equipment and procedures; ascertains all safety standards and regulations ensuring all OSHA requirements are met; have a basic understanding of NFPA 101 (Life Safety Code); and manages the Building Automation System (BAS). The Supervisor must be familiar with administrative functions that include using Microsoft Office programs, receiving quotes/estimates; accurately maintaining files and records for the Plant and providing regular and ongoing communication with the Director and Project Manager.

Excellent written communication skills for preparing weekly work reports that provide details of tasks performed with accuracy and consistency. Must be licensed to drive company vehicles. Follows safety and departmental procedures. The Supervisor creates a pleasant and comfortable physical environment for Sisters, patients, employees, and visitors.
