Through prayer, relationship-building and sharing of resources, the Wheaton Franciscans collaborate with organizations whose mission and priorities are similar to ours. We focus primarily on the following areas: care of creation; health and dental in underserved areas; refugees and immigrants; women and children in vulnerable situations; and other purposes that align with our values. We are currently connected to nearly 100 organizations.

Housing Forward
Sojourner House Program
Maywood, IL
Housing Forward’s mission is to transition people from housing crisis to housing stability. The agency serves nearly 2,000 individuals annually from the onset of a housing crisis to its resolution, preventing homelessness, and providing stable housing for the most vulnerable members of the community. One of the programs developed by the agency is the Sojourner House which is an interim housing program in Oak Park for individuals with disabilities and mobility issues, individuals who have been discharged from a hospital and are in need of respite care, as well families with minor children.
