Through prayer, relationship-building and sharing of resources, the Wheaton Franciscans collaborate with organizations whose mission and priorities are similar to ours. We focus primarily on the following areas: care of creation; health and dental in underserved areas; refugees and immigrants; women and children in vulnerable situations; and other purposes that align with our values. We are currently connected to nearly 100 organizations.

Casa Esperanza Project
Chicago, IL
Casa Esperanza is an organization which serves women and their children who have experienced homelessness and have moved from an emergency shelter to Casa Esperanza to continue their journey toward a more independent and stable living arrangement. While residing at Casa Esperanza, the moms attend training classes or certificate courses that may be offered at a community college or another agency. The moms also take part in activities such as classes on cooking, financial management, and self-esteem, while their children are able to attend summer camp, go on field trips with their school classmates and go on outings with the other residents.
