It’s not the load that breaks you down. It’s the way you carry it.

– Lena Horne

Professional care-giving can compromise your resilience – your capacity to prepare for, recover from and adapt in the face of stress, challenge and adversity. Secondary trauma, compassion fatigue, and a heightened risk for chronic physical, spiritual disconnect and mental health issues are just some of the many signs of caregiver stress.

In this workshop you will experience a variety of stress resilience and relaxation practices aimed at helping you renew your energy and inner balance throughout the work day. The signs and symptoms of caregiver stress depletion, the learning of resilience-building practices that can be done in one – five minutes at work or on the go, and how to implement a self-care plan based on the three strategies for building and maintaining resilience will all be explored through conversation, reflection, writing and instructor presentation.

Online Registration Required by Monday March 17, space is limited
