The Wheaton Franciscan community joins people across the world in mourning the death of Pope Francis. Pope Francis led by example with love, humility, simplicity and wisdom. He called us to be better human beings, respecting one another and all of God’s creation. As a community of the faithful, let us come together to share our sadness and fear, our joy and gratitude.

We invite you to join us in-person or livestream for a memory service in gratitude for his life and his service to the people of God.

Please bring a symbol that reminds you of Pope Francis. It could be a photo, an object, a quote, or short poem.  Prayer is a power that strengthens our hearts. And it becomes all the more meaningful when we pray together.
