Our 2025 theme, Pilgrims of Hope: Celebrating Creation, brings together two significant milestones: the Roman Catholic Jubilee Year and the Franciscan 800th Anniversary of the Canticle of the Creatures.

The Jubilee Year, declared by Pope Francis, calls us to reignite the flame of hope and face the future with faith and trust. At the same time, Franciscans celebrate St. Francis of Assisi’s Canticle of the Creatures, a hymn that praises the beauty and interconnectedness of all creation.
Together, these celebrations inspire us to walk as “pilgrims” with hope, working to build a peaceful, just, and welcoming world. As we enter 2025, let us embrace our shared responsibility for God’s creation and live with love, humility, and care for all.
Focus Resources
Resources to support spiritual and personal development are available on this page. As such, we encourage individuals, small faith-sharing groups, and families to use or adapt the materials to meet their needs.
Jubilee Year (2025)
- Pope Francis Papal Bull for the Jubilee Year 2025
- Jubilee Year Prayer:

Father in heaven,
may the faith you have given us
in your son, Jesus Christ, our brother,
and the flame of charity enkindled
in our hearts by the Holy Spirit,
reawaken in us the blessed hope
for the coming of your Kingdom.
May your grace transform us
into tireless cultivators of the seeds of the Gospel.
May those seeds transform from within both humanity and the whole cosmos
in the sure expectation
of a new heaven and a new earth,
when, with the powers of Evil vanquished,
your glory will shine eternally.
May the grace of the Jubilee
reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope,
a yearning for the treasures of heaven.
May that same grace spread
the joy and peace of our Redeemer
throughout the earth.
To you our God, eternally blessed,
be glory and praise forever.
Amen

LCWR Transforming Grace: The Work of Transformative Justice
LCWR began an initiative in 2024 to explore the US national election campaign through the lens of transformative justice. The initiative will continue as we consider our call to action as gospel people together in the months and years ahead.
The work of transformative justice involves thoughtful conversations, compassionate listening, and contemplation to make decisions and take action that benefits the Earth and all people. For more information, please visit https://www.lcwr.org/transforming-grace.
