Grounds Keeper II

Full Time – Monday through Friday

The Groundskeeper II is responsible for the technical maintenance and care of the grounds at the Wheaton Franciscan Sisters campus.  Establishes an attractive appearance and safe conditions for the Wheaton Franciscan campus.  Performs landscape functions such as cutting, trimming and edging lawn areas; trimming and edging lawn areas; trimming and pruning trees, hedges, bushes and plants; chip branches; mulch beds and fertilize grass areas, flowerbeds, hedges, trees and all appropriate areas. As well as maintenance and upkeep of all grounds equipment. Makes scheduled inspections of campus with Supervisor and makes recommendations of plant types and locations. Performs snow plowing, snow broom, tractor, bobcat and shoveling as needed during the winter months. Acts as a crew leader when needed, to give direction and training when supervisor is not available. Performs general responsibilities as needed.
