Current Job Opportunity


The Leadership Teams of WFSC and IBVM have an opening for an Archivist.  The Archivist plans, organizes, maintains and preserves the Wheaton Franciscan archives and the archives of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In consultation with the Leadership Teams, works to animate community archival awareness, develops policy and/or procedure, and directly manages the acquisition, disposition, and safekeeping of archival materials. Appraises and/or edits archival records, displays and curates historically valuable materials of the Wheaton Franciscans and the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and participates, as required, in research activities concerning the archival materials. The Archivist supervises and coordinates the work of those assisting in the preservation of the Wheaton Franciscan story and that of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary, their heritage and historically significant artifacts.
