DESCRIPTION:A Wheaton Franciscan Ministry Fair\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us for Coffee\, a Ministry Fair\, and Curiosity Conversations in the Auditorium after 10:30 a.m. Mass. There will be coffee\, treats\, and other refreshments available to enjoy while gathering with everyone in fellowship.  \n\n\n\nThe Invitational Church Circle is hosting this special version of our monthly Coffee &… Fellowship to help you deepen your relationship with the Wheaton Franciscan community. Since our community has so many programs and activities\, we want to provide a relaxed and fun way to discover more about us\, Tau Center\, the IBVM community\, and the Sisters of St. Clare\, while exploring various ways of serving. \n\n\n\n\nWhat are the Ministry Fair and Curiosity Conversations?\n\n\n\nDuring our Coffee & …\, we will offer ways to learn about volunteering with our Laudato Si’ Circle\, serving in our music and liturgy ministry\, supporting our hospitality ministry in-person and online\, assisting with our Kickapoo Corn project\, and more. We’ll also have information for folks curious about Covenant Companionship. Feel free to chat informally with Covenant Companions\, ask questions\, and hear their stories of discernment\, contemplation\, and service. \n\n\n\nMost importantly\, we want to hear about your gifts\, talents\, and interests. So grab a cup of coffee and visit with us. Curiosity and an open heart are the only prerequisites! \n\n\n\nWe look forward to seeing you there! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBread For the World “Offering of Letters”\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAt the JPIC table of the Coffee & Curiosity Conversations Ministry Fair\, we will have our annual Bread For the World “Offering of Letters.” These letters will urge our U.S. Representatives and Senators to fully fund Food Programs for the Poor\, both domestic and global. There will be letters to Senators Duckworth and Durbin.  \n\n\n\n\n\nIn addition\, there will be a letter to Representatives. Since we are all from many different congressional districts\, you will need to fill in the name of your Representative before signing the letter. The letters will be hand delivered by Covenant Companion Tom Ruggaber. They can then be taken to Washington and be hand delivered to our Congress people by the Diocese of Joliet. \n\n\n\nFor those who prefer an online Offering of Letters: \n\n\n\n\nGo to www.bread.org/ol\n\n\n\nClick on “Take Action”\n\n\n\nScroll down to “Resources” and then click on “Email Congress”\n\n\n\nFill out your information\n\n\n\nClick on “This is an Offering of Letters”\n\n\n\nFill in the name of the congregation with “Wheaton Franciscan.” This will add your letter to the total count from our ministry.\n\n\n\nFollow the prompts to send the email to your Senators and Representative.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease Remember \n\n\n\n\nWe ask all participants to be vaccinated and boosted to the extent possible.\n\n\n\nEnter the building through Entrance #7 and exit the same way.\n\n\n\n\nStay connected through our weekly newsletter\, which includes any updates and changes.

DESCRIPTION:A Solstice Drumming Circle and Guided Walk\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n5:30pm – Guided ‘ Wisdom of Nature’ Walk and Reflection with Karen Bychowski\n\n\n\nUsing passages from Robin Wall Kimmerer’s “Braiding Sweetgrass\,” we will reflect on and share the wisdom of nature as we also explore nature’s elements that surround us. During this Guided Reflection\, we will walk in the new St. Clare Garden\, pausing periodically for a short reading\, reflection\, and sharing.Plan to bring comfortable walking shoes\, and a folding/camping chair (if seating is needed). \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n 6:45pm – Praise for the Four Elements and Welcome with Sr Glenna Czachor\, OSF\n\n\n\nWith praise and joy for the Four Elements: Air\, Water\, Earth and Fire that are present in the world! We invite you join us as we walk through the St. Clare Garden before joining together in our Drumming Circle. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n7:00-8:30pm – Drumming Circle & Fire Ceremony Celebrating Elements of Earth & Fire \n\n\n\nWe will gather on the lawn in the center of the St. Clare Garden. Bring a blanket or folding chair and drum / rattles\, if you have your own.
