DESCRIPTION:A Wheaton Franciscan Ministry Fair\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us for Coffee\, a Ministry Fair\, and Curiosity Conversations in the Auditorium after 10:30 a.m. Mass. There will be coffee\, treats\, and other refreshments available to enjoy while gathering with everyone in fellowship.  \n\n\n\nThe Invitational Church Circle is hosting this special version of our monthly Coffee &… Fellowship to help you deepen your relationship with the Wheaton Franciscan community. Since our community has so many programs and activities\, we want to provide a relaxed and fun way to discover more about us\, Tau Center\, the IBVM community\, and the Sisters of St. Clare\, while exploring various ways of serving. \n\n\n\n\nWhat are the Ministry Fair and Curiosity Conversations?\n\n\n\nDuring our Coffee & …\, we will offer ways to learn about volunteering with our Laudato Si’ Circle\, serving in our music and liturgy ministry\, supporting our hospitality ministry in-person and online\, assisting with our Kickapoo Corn project\, and more. We’ll also have information for folks curious about Covenant Companionship. Feel free to chat informally with Covenant Companions\, ask questions\, and hear their stories of discernment\, contemplation\, and service. \n\n\n\nMost importantly\, we want to hear about your gifts\, talents\, and interests. So grab a cup of coffee and visit with us. Curiosity and an open heart are the only prerequisites! \n\n\n\nWe look forward to seeing you there! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBread For the World “Offering of Letters”\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAt the JPIC table of the Coffee & Curiosity Conversations Ministry Fair\, we will have our annual Bread For the World “Offering of Letters.” These letters will urge our U.S. Representatives and Senators to fully fund Food Programs for the Poor\, both domestic and global. There will be letters to Senators Duckworth and Durbin.  \n\n\n\n\n\nIn addition\, there will be a letter to Representatives. Since we are all from many different congressional districts\, you will need to fill in the name of your Representative before signing the letter. The letters will be hand delivered by Covenant Companion Tom Ruggaber. They can then be taken to Washington and be hand delivered to our Congress people by the Diocese of Joliet. \n\n\n\nFor those who prefer an online Offering of Letters: \n\n\n\n\nGo to www.bread.org/ol\n\n\n\nClick on “Take Action”\n\n\n\nScroll down to “Resources” and then click on “Email Congress”\n\n\n\nFill out your information\n\n\n\nClick on “This is an Offering of Letters”\n\n\n\nFill in the name of the congregation with “Wheaton Franciscan.” This will add your letter to the total count from our ministry.\n\n\n\nFollow the prompts to send the email to your Senators and Representative.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease Remember \n\n\n\n\nWe ask all participants to be vaccinated and boosted to the extent possible.\n\n\n\nEnter the building through Entrance #7 and exit the same way.\n\n\n\n\nStay connected through our weekly newsletter\, which includes any updates and changes.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a contemplative journey of curiosity ‘from the mind to the heart’.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister for this Event\n\n\n\n\nOnline registration is required by Monday\, May 8 before 9:00 a.m. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur morning together will include prayer and quiet reflection\, ending with circle sharing \n\n\n\nThis is a journey to explore the language of the heart. We will start this journey by simply noticing the moments throughout our life that bring joy and happiness to our lives. We will spend time in contemplation opening to these moments within our hearts. There will be time for sharing\, reflection and journaling. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur facilitator\, Laura Desmaris explored meditation while living in India over ten years ago. Since then she found herself drawn to Centering Prayer and has been influenced by Thomas Keating and Cynthia Bourgeault – combining all of her prayer and meditation experiences to create this offering. What if I knew I would never see it again? \nRachel Carson\n\n\n\nLed by Jeanne Iovinelli\, Certified Forest Therapy Guide\, we invite you to come explore the Peace Path and grounds at Our Lady of the Angels – to see the land in a new way and experience yourself held in the natural world in a deep and profound manner. \n\n\n\nHeld entirely outdoors Jeanne will lead the group in a slow and deliberate walk that incorporates a series of gentle invitations\, transitioning from movement to ‘sitting and noticing’ before out time together closes with a tea ceremony. While the two hour guided walk format is similar for each session\, each season is a new opportunity to be drawn into the unique attribute of our ever-changing landscape and you are encouraged to attend throughout the year.  \n\n\n\nAttendees are welcome to extend their time with private reflection in the St Clare Garden\, following the conclusion of the guided walk. DESCRIPTION:Explore a new theme to deepen our inner wisdom in a small group setting\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSoulCollage® is a powerful creative process that gently enables you to hear the deep wisdom of your own inner-knowing through the practice of collage art. To deepen our understanding of and break open the meaning of our SoulCollage cards\, each session  will include \n\n\n\n\n20 minutes of instruction\n\n\n\nguided meditation and card-making\n\n\n\njournaling and a brief sharing of our images\, if desired\n\n\n\n\nFirst Wednesdays\, ongoing 9:30 am – Noon. Each Monthly Session offers a different theme or follow your own inner wisdom. Wednesday May 3 theme: The Mother Within. \n\n\n\n$25/session\, includes access to basic SoulCollage supplies and a program guide for the series to facilitate creative exploration on your own between sessions. Bring additional magazines and personal images. DESCRIPTION:Online via Zoom\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAn online Book Group and Sharing Circle\n\n\n\n\nThis group will meet online via Zoom four consecutive Thursday evenings: April 20\, 27 and May 4\, & 11\, from 6:30-8PM. \n\n\n\nParticipants need to secure a copy of the book From Clutter to Clarity by Kerri Richardson to participate in this online series. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClutter is a temper tantrum of the soul\, and it’s time to listen closely to what it’s saying. \n Kerri Richardson\n\n\n\n\n\nOnline registration is requested two weeks prior to the program \n\n\n\nOver the course of this four week small group series\, we will use author Kerri Richardson’s easy to read book\, From Clutter to Clarity\, as a guide to help us actively implement decluttering strategies. More than just a book group\, we’ll offer one another inspiration\, support\, and gentle accountability in moving through the process of actually decluttering. SUMMARY:Silence - Journey to Heartfulness
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a contemplative journey of curiosity ‘from the mind to the heart’.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister for this Event\n\n\n\n\nOnline registration is required by Monday\, April 10 before 9:00 a.m. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur morning together will include prayer and quiet reflection\, ending with circle sharing \n\n\n\nThis is a journey to explore the language of the heart. We will start this journey by simply noticing the moments throughout our life that bring joy and happiness to our lives. We will spend time in contemplation opening to these moments within our hearts. There will be time for sharing\, reflection and journaling. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOur facilitator\, Laura Desmaris explored meditation while living in India over ten years ago. Since then she found herself drawn to Centering Prayer and has been influenced by Thomas Keating and Cynthia Bourgeault – combining all of her prayer and meditation experiences to create this offering. She is a Spiritual Director and has led Centering Prayer with Sr Pat Irr\, OSF in prior seasons at Tau Center. \n\n\n\nNote: Tau Center in-person offerings require masking in all public areas and current vaccinations.
