This unique form of prayer combines drawing\, doodling\, and coloring\, offering a meaningful way to connect with the divine beyond words. \n\n\n\nTogether\, we’ll learn how to incorporate these visual and tactile elements into our spiritual practices\, whether you are seeking a new way to pray\, exploring creative expression\, or simply looking to deepen your connection with God during this sacred time. \n\n\n\nNo artistic skill required! A combination of guided activities to help you get started and self-directed time to explore your own expressions of prayer. SUMMARY:The Way of the Heart — A Lenten Program
DESCRIPTION:Let us take some time this Lent to enjoy the spirituality of the desert fathers and mothers. We will use the short book\, The Way of the Heart\, by Henri Nouwen\, as our guide. This program includes three in-person sessions as well as two short recorded videos to bookend the series. \n\n\n\nThe in-person sessions are every two weeks on the following Tuesdays\, from 9am to 11:30am: February 24\, March 10\, and March 24\, 2026. \n\n\n\nEach session will explore a section of the book\, starting with solitude\, then silence\, and finally prayer. Additionally\, time will be allotted for experiencing these spiritual disciplines as well as some guided (optional) small group sharing. Participants are asked to secure a copy of the book The Way of the Heart\, by Henri Nouwen. \n\n\n\nRegistration is requested by February 9\, 2026. In this workshop we will frame aging as a spiritual practice that can help us to focus on positive aspects of aging that transcend culture\, age and time. And we’ll explore how to let go of aging-related fears\, practical guidelines and practices for choosing inner peace throughout life\, the role resilience plays in graceful aging\, creative envisioning\, redefining purpose and how to relax\, look deeply and let go in the death and dying process. \n\n\n\nThe first day of this three-part series will be held at the Tau Center\, followed by two Zoom workshops. DESCRIPTION:Explore your dreams in an intimate small group format\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister for this Event\n\n\n\n\n\nThis group meets in person at Tau Center on the third Tuesday of the month\, March through May.\n\n\n\nMarch 18 \, April 15\, and May 20\, 2025.\n\n\n\nTime: 10:00am – 11:30am\n\n\n\nOnline registration is required two weeks prior to first session\n\n\n\n\nTammy will facilitate the dream work process in a small group format. Participants are asked to bring their dreams (written down in the present tense) to the online sessions. Together\, in a structured shared wisdom approach\, we will help one another unpack what our dreams may be trying to communicate. \n\n\n\nParticipants need to have previously attended Tammy’s introductory “Spiritual Growth through Dream Work” program OR be already familiar with Dream Work to register for this series. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Our Facilitator \n\n\n\nTammy Winn holds a graduate degree in Religious Studies. She works as a recording artist\, contemplative writer\, and presenter. Tammy also has experience teaching theology and directing youth and young adult ministries. Specific to dream work\, Tammy has worked with her own dreams in spiritual direction over the past 15 years. To deepen our understanding of and break open the meaning of our SoulCollage cards\, each session will begin with an short introduction of the theme followed by guided meditation and setting our intention\, before transitioning to card-making. Our day will conclude with witness journaling and a brief sharing of our images\, if desired. \n\n\n\nWorking silently within the group energy\, we honor our own inner voice\, allowing our unique creative process to lead us on our unique path. Our gathering offers a safe and supportive space for exploration and discovery in an intimate and ongoing group setting. \n\n\n\nThis small group does not include teachings in the SoulCollage Process but offers space for exploration. Why should I henceforth not love my dreams and not make their riddling images into objects of my daily consideration?”  \nCarl Jung\n\n\n\n\nGather for a time of self-discovery and shared wisdom as we look at what our dreams may be trying to tell us. Together we will explore why it’s worth paying attention to our dreams\, how we can work with and interpret them\, and ways we can accept guidance from them that can deeply enrich our lives. Participants are encouraged to bring a recent dream they’ve had\, written down\, though this is not required. \n\n\n\nThis offering will be held in person at Tau Center. Sing anyway. \n\n\n\n– Emory Austin \n\n\n\n\nCare-giving for loved ones begins with a song in the heart composed of love\, compassion and purpose. A song that overtime we can find harder and harder to sing as the everyday realities of care-giving lead us into compassion fatigue\, a form of care-giver burnout manifesting in deep physical\, emotional and spiritual exhaustion. Those who have experienced compassion fatigue often describe it as being sucked into a vortex that slowly pulls them down\, eroding empathy\, compassion and positive connection for and to others – and one’s best self. \n\n\n\nIn this workshop we will explore: attitudes of over-care; how to identify personal barriers to self-care; the causes\, signs and symptoms of compassion fatigue; the importance of balancing pleasure and meaning; how to develop a self-care action plan; and easy-to-learn and do renewing practices that can help increase your confidence and ability to take positive\, effective action during times of pressure\, challenge and change.
