Overall skilled and experienced maintenance mechanic. Individual is knowledgeable in OSHA guidelines and understand Arc flash in order to perform electrical duties that include troubleshooting, repair of controls and motor starters; install new electrical construction; balance distribution panels; wire motors from 110 single phase to 480v 3-phase; repair lights, sockets, outlets, switches; and performs routine maintenance. Uses lock out tag out procedures when necessary.
Individual is knowledgeable with refrigeration and HVAC and is able to troubleshoot, repair refrigeration on hospital HVAC equipment; install compressors in self-contained A/C units; provide maintenance of air cooled chillers and closed loop systems; replace fan and motor bearings; troubleshoot pneumatic and electrical controls; arc welds, Perform repairs on all kitchen equipment as needed. Pro press and solders; cleaning of coils and performs routine preventative maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
Ideal candidate will have experienced in a hospital setting. Overall knowledge of automation systems and computer skills necessary to understand hospital and commercial building automation system operations. Must understand pneumatic and electronic controls.
Repairs and maintains all plumbing related equipment including repairs to toilets, faucets, shower controls, piping, drains, sewers; brazes and solders or Pro press copper pipes for new installations; PVC pipe installation; makes necessary repairs on domestic cold and hot water systems pumps, seals , bearings as required. Additionally, the candidate should be familiar with standard residential house preventive maintenance and repair, e.g., HVAC filters, plumbing clog or leak, electrical breaker and GFCI.
Other duties include ability to inspect and test fire apparatus and is familiar with water systems. Assists with preventative maintenance on operating mechanical equipment. May be involved in mechanical repairs of other building equipment and when necessary assists with building maintenance that includes snow removal. Is comfortable providing training the Mechanic I and Mechanic II.
Salary range of $26 to $28 per hour for a 32 hour work week.
