New Membership Inquiry

Please consider the following eight signs of readiness to explore vowed membership with the Wheaton Franciscans:

  1. You are exploring balance between contemplation and action in your life.
  2. You are a woman who has compassion and concern for yourself, others and the Global community. You have shown some interest and are involved with environmental issues, peace and justice issues and/or social ministries.
  3. You are a woman who is practicing member of the Catholic Church.
  4. You are a woman who has explored her inner life. This means you have grown in self understanding through retreats, workshops, spiritual direction and/or therapy.
  5. You are a single woman with no dependent children.
  6. You are a woman who is twenty-five years old or older who is financially independent.
  7. You are in relatively good health and free of any major medical concerns.
  8. You have skills to nurture and build meaningful relationships.
